Stacheliger Besuch in der Grundschule Hohenstange

Schule

In den vergangen Tagen besuchte Frau Scholl mit einem ihrer vielen Igelkinder die 1. und 2. Klassen der Grundschule Hohenstange.
Frau Scholl leitet zusammen mit ihrer Mutter seit 1979 ehrenamtlich die Igelstation in Kornwestheim. Dort nehmen sie kranke Igel auf und bereiten sie auf den Winter vor. Anschließend werden sie wieder in die freie Wildbahn zurückgebracht.
Unser stacheliger Besuch wurde von einer Familie zu Frau Scholl gebracht. Die Familie hatte den Igel verletzt im Wald gefunden.
Im Unterricht holte Frau Scholl das Igelkind aus dem Karton heraus. Sie erklärte den Körperbau des Igels. Das war sehr spannend, da man den Igel dabei sehr genau beobachten konnte. Außerdem erzählte Frau Scholl den faszinierten Kindern von dem Leben der Igel in der freien Natur, über die Nahrung, die Feinde und warum es gut ist, einen Igel im Garten zu haben. Die Schüler und Schülerinnen durften vorsichtig die Stacheln berühren und den Bauch streicheln. Dies war ein tolles Erlebnis. Besonders lustig war, dass das Igelkind am Bauch kitzelig ist. Wie ein Igel sich bei Gefahr zusammenrollt, konnten die Kinder mehrmals beobachten.
